TCR on it's way!

Sorry TCR is late this week guys! I set aside time last night to get it finished and posted and I ended up having to rush my three year old son to the hospital. (He's fine by the way.) I'll get it finished and posted soon. Hopefully tonight or early tomorrow.

Also I have a video from my Rockman Exile playthrough all ready to go up! It's Bubbleman's stage! Hopefully that should also be up tonight.

Peace yalls! And MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Panel Randomizer Fun

I spent some time fooling with what remains of the old "Garfield Randomizer". The concept is that Garfield comics make just as much sense if you scramble the panels. These seven strips are what I came up with:

My Servers Minecraft Map is Now Available for Download

Over at Tactical Burger Uprising, I have been running a small 4-slot Minecraft server. I got about 5 players who rotated in and out, and collectively there are some cool things to look at. The server as a whole is about to enter it's third months so it's still a young server. In the future, there will be more evolved versions to come, but for now you can plug this into your single or multiplayer servers and enjoy such sights as Takada's pagoda, Miker's Bakery, CF's .... cave were stuff is kept, and Gumpy's cave of seclusion!

Download is available on the TBU website.

TCR having audio issues

I stayed up until 4 in the morning last night getting TCR done only to find that about six minutes of the show are totally lost to static. I don't know what is causing the static issue, but I'm going to cut out the six minutes and get TCR 110 up this afternoon. Sorry for the delay.

Might be gone for a week.

A huge storm is hitting my area starting tonight. The power company has been saying we need to be prepared to be without power for up to a week. Whatever the case, I'll be gone for a while when the power goes out. For those of you who don't live in the eastern United States, enjoy not having to deal with a large scale black out. Peace guys!

Monday Night Militia

This Monday night at 10pm EST, Tactical Burger Uprising will be celebrating cs_militia. This awesome map was excluded from the new Global Offensive game and although it did appear in CS:Source, the 1.6 version is superior by a long shot. This is a night to remember why 1.6 is the best.

I would like to make this a weekly thing, but in reality, weekly events are difficult to do. I would need a lot of help for that. So that said, let's just start with this one time. See you Monday night!

Dungeons of Dredmore - Gaslamp Games - Indie Spotlight

I remember playing Rogue on my pop's IBM 386 way back in 1989. My Dad didn't have windows then. He used a DOS based menu program called Menu Works. I can't even find screenshots of that on Google image search. Gaming on a PC was completely different in those days. Rogue, back in 1989 on my Dads PC, was the most in depth and complex game I had yet experienced. I played the hell out of it, and I still go back every couple of years to give it a spin for old time sake. Those warm memories set me up to really get into Dungeons of Dredmor in a big way.

Dungeons of Dredmor is more of a Rogue-clone rather than a Rogue-like. The dungeons are randomly generated, everything is turn based, equipment is found on the fly, and the high score board is based on how much gold the player is holding. I have a problem with that because unlike Rogue, you can actually buy things

Total War: Rome 2 (Trailer)

Rome: Total War's sequel is called Total War: Rome II. When I told my friend that this game was coming out he immediately corrected me on the name. BUT WAIT! Total War fans rejoice! Since Shogun 2, apparently that irritating thing of putting the series name second is over! Now all your Total War games will be placed together in an alphabetized collections! Gods rejoyce! .. Oh yeah also this game exists.

Tiger Claw Radio #104

Sorry this episode took so long to get up. With the summer winding down I have had very little time to spare and when I do get spare time, I tend to spend it playing games rather than talking about them. However, even though this episode ended up being short, I thought it was a strong one. Enjoy!

Half in the Bag Season Finale

This is the season finalie of the series "Half in the Bag" from RedLetterMedia.com. This series has gotten me back into watching shows on the internet again. I thought I would share it with you.

Counter Strike Global Offensive Pre-orders Available

=
Counter Strike Global Offensive is finally available for pre-order. This week's midweek madness on Steam is for the complete Counter Strike collection which includes the new Global Offensive game. The game is listed as 13.49 which is 10% off of the regular price of 14.99 dollars.

There is some speculation that the normal 19.99 price for Counter Strike Source may be reduced soon, but at this point Valve hasn't commented on that so it remains forum speculation.

CS:GO is set to be released on August 21st 2012. Stick together team! Go! Go! Go!

Skulltag Closes it's Doors

Skulltag, the Doom source port used for the long running Doom Nights here on TigerClawTV.com has closed its doors. The program is now defunct, the website is now closed, the forums are now gone. Based on what research Google still has to offer, we know this was based on some sort of internal disagreement involved with the staff.

On the bright side, we also know that there will be another source port for Doom rising to take Skulltag's...

Flotilla - Blendo Games - Indie Spotlight

Flotilla is a turn based, space combat game. Combat operates a little bit like Frozen Synapse in space. Players lay in waypoints for thier squad and submit them to be executed simultaniusly with the computer's actions. The ships automatically shoot when they are in range unless ordered not to. So It's really a matter of ship movement.

The player controls a terminally ill commodore of a space fleet embarking on his final mission. There is seven months left to live. Time to make the most of it. Gameplay is simple, which is something you don't often hear about a turn based stratefy game, but it is also difficult. Get ready to die alot. But then, your terminally ill in this game. At best, your going to die.

The Humble Music Bundle

HumbleBundle.com launches the Humble Music Bundle. This is a pay what you want bundle of albums similar to the Game Music Bundle which has run three different times on GameMusicBundle.com.

Unlike the standard Humble Bundles, the goods are right out there for everyone with one album available to beat the average as opposed to the normal routene of putting the more desirable items up for those who pony up.

The music selection here is a little more mainstream than the game music bundle with choises from 'They Might Be Giants' and 'OK GO'. It's nice to see humble bundle trying new things and branching out.
Go get it before the bronys drive the price up.

DLC Quest Review

Most gamers are sick of getting nickel and dimed by the DLC business model that game companies have taken on.  Going Loud Studios made a little indie side-scroller entitled “DLC Quest” which is silly in nature, but captures perfectly the level of greed on the part of developers.

The plot is simple. The princess has been captured. Time to do what heroes do and go rescue her fat lazy ass. The game plays like an old platformer. Essentially the player needs to collect coins to purchase items which open the map up and lead the hero to the next area. DLC is purchased with the coins you find and it ranges from “The ability to move to the left” to the “zombie pack” (which makes zombies roam the background which do nothing), and so on.

Tiger Claw Radio #92

After putting this episode off for more than two months I did a spurt of the moment live show this past Thursday immediatly following the mondo cool cast over at MondoCoolCast.com. I have had better shows in the past, but I'm still getting my  "live show legs". There was even some talk about making the show a live follow up for several more episodes following Mondo Cool Cast's move to Saturday night. Special thanks to Jerry for helping make this episode happen.

Download Episode 92 here.

During the time off, I made several failed attempts to get an episode off the ground amidst all the family chaos. I even got as far as to upload a 30 minute mini episode, but it never made it to the website. Since its on the webspace, I might as well post it for anyone who is interested.

Download Episode 92 Unaired Version here.
