Death Adder returns with a new episode of The Death Adder Super Show. This time, tackling such subjects as the Friday the 13th game legal troubles, the new Fallout game, more about his time with Street Fighter and a sad end to Garbage The Cat.
Steam Summer Sales are underway! Starting yesterday at 1pm EST and ending on July 5th, the summer sale has hit with a large amount of discounts as always, this time with an "Intergalactic" theme. Flash sales are still absent since the introduction to returning games.
One notable sale is Player Unknown's Battlegrounds being on sale for 20.00 for the first time since it's release.
GOG.com summer sale has ended. Origin usually has a big sale going on at this time as well, however it appears that has been discontinued in the wake of their "Origin Access" program.
realMyst will be removed from GOG.com's library today. If you own it already, it will remain available to you. Cyan is pulling it in favor of the realMyst Masterpiece edition, which they feel is a better representation of what the game should be. Kudos to GOG.com for letting us know it is going to be pulled for anyone out there who wants to grab it. I would imagine that it will be pulled from Steam as well, though I don't know that for sure.
The Death Adder Super Show returns for some Street Fighter themed podcasting. Put on your bandanna and listen to this while watching Road House on mute. Death Adder goes quite nicely with images of Patrick Swayze punching people in the face.
Papa Pete digs into the Atari Classic, 'Adventure'. It's great to watch someone talk about Atari games who remembers playing them when they came out and who understands the context in which these games came out. This is something Papa Pete does better than anyone. His channel is growing, but still severely underrated. Enjoy!
Papa Pete returns with some awesome pick ups from his local yard sale circuit. In my town we have had a lot of rain on the weekends and I haven't been able to do much yard saleing. This video made me want to get it in gear and hit the road hard this Saturday.
It's time for the big sale event over at GOG.com. As usual the Steam sales aren't far behind. These sites have sales all the time, but this is the biggest one we'll see until next winter. Standouts for me have been the Anno series for about 3 bucks each, and if you don't have it already, Divine Divinity is .60 cents.
Oh yeah and they are giving out Xenonauts for free!
The Gaming Shelf acquires a working Atari 5200. I have been craving non-stop Atari content lately so nothing was nicer than seeing a working 5200. I don't have one of these. I have never seen one up and running. This was an awesome video. Check it out.
Nakey Jakey releases a personal piece about moving away from old friends and playing Bioshock. This one is more about him than about the game, but I enjoyed it none the less. I find it difficult to be this personally revealing on YouTube. Ol Jakey nailed it. Check it out. Check out NakeyJakey's Channel
Gaming Palooza Empire returns for more Atari 2600 content with "EggoMania". I always dig it when he does a game I have never seen before. I don't own any US Games cartridges nor do I own a paddle controller for the 2600. That makes this one a double whammy.
