Dungeons of Dredmore - Gaslamp Games - Indie Spotlight

I remember playing Rogue on my pop's IBM 386 way back in 1989. My Dad didn't have windows then. He used a DOS based menu program called Menu Works. I can't even find screenshots of that on Google image search. Gaming on a PC was completely different in those days. Rogue, back in 1989 on my Dads PC, was the most in depth and complex game I had yet experienced. I played the hell out of it, and I still go back every couple of years to give it a spin for old time sake. Those warm memories set me up to really get into Dungeons of Dredmor in a big way.

Dungeons of Dredmor is more of a Rogue-clone rather than a Rogue-like. The dungeons are randomly generated, everything is turn based, equipment is found on the fly, and the high score board is based on how much gold the player is holding. I have a problem with that because unlike Rogue, you can actually buy things

Total War: Rome 2 (Trailer)

Rome: Total War's sequel is called Total War: Rome II. When I told my friend that this game was coming out he immediately corrected me on the name. BUT WAIT! Total War fans rejoice! Since Shogun 2, apparently that irritating thing of putting the series name second is over! Now all your Total War games will be placed together in an alphabetized collections! Gods rejoyce! .. Oh yeah also this game exists.

Tiger Claw Radio #104

Sorry this episode took so long to get up. With the summer winding down I have had very little time to spare and when I do get spare time, I tend to spend it playing games rather than talking about them. However, even though this episode ended up being short, I thought it was a strong one. Enjoy!

Counter Strike Global Offensive Pre-orders Available

=
Counter Strike Global Offensive is finally available for pre-order. This week's midweek madness on Steam is for the complete Counter Strike collection which includes the new Global Offensive game. The game is listed as 13.49 which is 10% off of the regular price of 14.99 dollars.

There is some speculation that the normal 19.99 price for Counter Strike Source may be reduced soon, but at this point Valve hasn't commented on that so it remains forum speculation.

CS:GO is set to be released on August 21st 2012. Stick together team! Go! Go! Go!

Skulltag Closes it's Doors

Skulltag, the Doom source port used for the long running Doom Nights here on TigerClawTV.com has closed its doors. The program is now defunct, the website is now closed, the forums are now gone. Based on what research Google still has to offer, we know this was based on some sort of internal disagreement involved with the staff.

On the bright side, we also know that there will be another source port for Doom rising to take Skulltag's...
