Skulltag Closes it's Doors

Skulltag, the Doom source port used for the long running Doom Nights here on TigerClawTV.com has closed its doors. The program is now defunct, the website is now closed, the forums are now gone. Based on what research Google still has to offer, we know this was based on some sort of internal disagreement involved with the staff.

On the bright side, we also know that there will be another source port for Doom rising to take Skulltag's...

...place. I'm not sure what the future holds for the program, but this is a sad day for all those who loved the Doom Nights we held in the past.

In other news, ZDaemon still seems to work.

  1. ZDaemon is a good solid Programm. But what I loved in Skulltag were the custom mods (like the various Invasion Levels) that made the game awesome. Its really a huge loss to the retrogaming community and gamers as a whole. Im not sure about the Doom source port. I hope it lives up to its expectations, well just have to wait and see.

  2. Man that sucks. Actually, I remember when you sent an audio comment to Gooch and the Dooshebag Radio, also defunct, two and a half years ago. It was a good audio comment that it actually made me interested in playing some Doom online that I actually went to sign up for the TCR Forumns just to see when the next Doom Night was. So if it was not for Skulltag, I would have not been able to find your forumns. Sucks that it gone.
