Forum Downtime Becomeing a Problom

As you all may have noticed, the forums have been down for about a week now. I have no idea why this is or what exactly has happened. The hosting service simply went down for maintenance and never went back up. I hate to loose all the forum content we have managed to collect over the last couple years. However, I can't allow them to continue to be down forever. If the problem isn't fixed in another few days, I'll find another service and open new forums. I hope everyone decides to stay with us if that happens.

I don't really do let's plays, but I wanted to do one for this game. I had fun making it. I feel like I got more comfortable talking at the 1:30 mark. Enjoy!

Super Cake Fight (Browser Game Review)

Super Cake Fight is a browser game designed for the TIGSource Vs. competition. The game requires two players to play. The basic premise is that each player must eat the ingredients and spit them back out into their designated pot. Once your cupcake is complete, the next step is to knock out your opponent with the bowling ball and add them to the mix.

Minitroid Demo (Freeware Review)

With all the business about Streets of Rage Remake, I feel like this game (Minitroid) lost some well deserved spotlight. Minitroid is a Metroid fan game which has been in the works for quite some time now. Demo videos have been making the rounds on the indie sites for a long time and finally a playable tech-demo has been released.

No TCR this week. Enjoy a rerun

Today happens to be my wifes birthday. That means I'm forced to take the week off. Bleh. Oh well. Enjoy this rerun. Episode 30 of TCR! Woot.

This episode features a classic interview with retro kaiser. This was recorded right after Doom Night IV. Some of the stuff we talked about were: Stacking carts on Sega Genesis, Robo-Pit, the WonderSwan, the SNES Campus Challange and a few other things. Also, at that time, my Robo-Pit video had just come out. Click read more to get a blast from the past and watch it again!

A Video Game Marathon Emerges!!

Thursday April 14th, 2011 - High Point NC.  Popular Youtube vlogger, Dustin Vogler, plans to take on countless gaming villains in a special gaming marathon scheduled for May 14th through May 15th aired over Ustream.  This event is being staged for the benefit of Victorious Life Church (VLC) located in High Point North Carolina.

VLC in need of a new roof for their childrens area which was the original church building, purchased in the 1980's.  As VLC grew, additions were built and the old building was renovated to accomadate the children (now ranging between 70 and 75 children with more families joining this number will only grow).  Leaks in the roof have caused ceiling damage, mildew and mold in some of the walls and is beginning to be a hazzard to small children.

SEGA has Streets of Rage Remake pulled

I hope you downloaded the freeware phenomenon "Streets of Rage Remake" when it was released last week. After nearly a decade of work, the fan game was pulled very shortly after it's release after the development team was contacted by SEGA. Despite not taking a single line of code from the source material, SEGA still owns the intellectual rights to the Streets of Rage series.

The dev team hasn't released any details on the matter, and moderators of the SORR forums have locked related topics. They have asked for copies which were previously downloaded not to be re-uploaded elsewhere.
